Sempai Marika has been practising karate for 17 years. In her early years of karate, she began by practising Uechi Ryu with instructor Terry Daly, before transferring to Olympic Karate Inc. where she practiced shotokan style karate and received her 1st Dan.
Outside the world of karate, Marika is a creative entrepreneur. Since 2016 she has been providing professional multimedia design, photography and videography for weddings, businesses and local clients, she has worked with the likes of Team Great Britain, Brent Council, Luton Council, Atlantic Productions and many more. Marika very recently started an online unisex streetwear store called Sloag which she uses as an outlet for her creative designs.
Marika enjoys singing and would spend her spare time singing with Britains Got Talent group GSI who led her on to sing with the likes of Pharrell Williams on the Brit Awards and Comic Relief on BBC One and many more. She still continues to sing mainly as a Praise and Worship leader at her church Abundant Life.
Marika currently holds a BA Hons in Graphic Design and works full-time at Brent Council as a Graphic Designer and Videographer however works hard to still offer her services to the public outside working hours.
